Segments:
- Speaking Confidentially - I offer callers the opportunity to confidentially address and receive qualified coaching on how to
address any/all workplace issues; whether the caller is the boss or employee, I will work to resolve their issues
- Ken’s Wakeup Call - intended to be a play on words – intended to be motivational & inspirational – I hope to get
folks to realize how much more they have inside waiting to come out
- Imagine That - connected to the “Wake up call” but offers a direct look at folks who started with a belief that “I can do even more
with my life; I have incredible untapped potential”; I offer examples of incredible things “regular” people have done to improve themselves
&/or the world
- Living With the Consequences - Select pieces from the Ki Visions 7-part leader development series
(which is used in our seminars, keynotes, coaching, etc.)
- Penny Wise and Pound Foolish - using resident experts (usually from PSU), I introduce a topic (e.g. Human Resources) and discuss
the topic generally; then in a future show, I bring in an entrepreneur to talk about the business specifics – what the business can do to help other
businesses grow, etc.; the key is: helping businesses realize the value of qualified advice, even that we have to pay for
- Book of the month - give my reflections on various books of merit (e.g. the classics like Dr. Covey’s “7 Habits…” or more
recent books of merit like “Good to Great” by Jim Collins)
- Heroes on the Homefront & Legacy Leaders - I profile leaders, some famous, some not; intent is to offer a message which
provides an example of how to get from where you are to where you want to be by showing others who faced many trials and tribulations
but were ultimately very successful
- Job Fare - using key employment related statistics and information, I provide an update on the economy and an
understanding of how you can be “more employable”; intent is to help spark a discussion of where you are and how to get where you want
to be; ultimate goal is to help folks “recession proof” their lives
- Pasch’s Posse - use this moniker to spark discussions about things we might classify as the good, the bad, and the ugly –
intent is to get folks to learn to look at issues and ideas objectively and not be blinded to one way of thinking but to look at current
reality from many perspectives – I use what I call the “Fiddler on the Roof process” where Tevya explores issues by examining an issue from
one perspective (i.e. “on the one hand”) and then from an alternative perspective (i.e. “on the other hand”)
- Stump Ken - listeners contact me (phone, IM, or email) with issues they think are unsolvable and I
do my best to find the fix – immediately or over time
- Eagles on Parade - I find and reward people in the workplace doing it the right way; I will usually interview them
in their place of work and help them serve as a model to others; we ask each business to offer a prize which is then given to the next
Eagle on Parade
- Spotlight on Entrepreneurs - I find bosses and/or business owners doing it the right way and allow them to tell
their story; this serves as motivation to others; I always ask them to relate an employee issue they have dealt with and how they
overcame it or learned from it
